   The course "Speak English Better" that we are presenting is somewhat novel in the world of educational aids, which help to master the conversational English language. Its uniqueness is in the few effective methodological findings. The course is continued the course "English 4U".
   This course was created so that you will be able to speak better English. It will enable you to practice taking part in conversations with people from different parts of Great Britain. This book places you in various every day situations. Our story follows Mr. Lawrence's holiday. Mr. Lawrence visited Great Britain, combining recreation with business. During his travels he entered situations that you might find yourself in as well.
   There are two parts to the course. Each part consists of five conversations. The first part contains Mr. Lawrence's conversations in London, on the Isle of White, in Bristol and in Liverpool. In the second part are conversations during his trips to Edinburgh, Coventry, Oxford, and after his return to London. There are 2 versions of the course "Speak English Better": audio and computerized.
   The translation is not a word-for - word one, which would sound weird to a Hebrew (Russian) reader, but rather a literary one. The translation is as close to the original as possible. In cases of unavoidable differences the word-for-word translation has been presented in prentices. This way the reader will be able to compare the Russian and English sentences and "feel through" English syntax, which is one of the main obstacles to full command of English speech.
   The conversations that are presented in this book are saturated with widespread English idioms. The idioms have been underlined. After every conversation most idioms are explained in English, thus giving an additional practice in English to the reader.
